Despite the sunshine and unusually warm weather outside I have been feeling inexplicably depressed the past few days. So I have been trying to venture outside as much as possible to combat the possibility of a deep dark depression. How can you not feel happy with golden rays of sun pouring down onto your face? I even dressed for the occasion with my newly acquired goldenrod blouse and headed over to what I refer to as “My Secret Park” in search of a good photo spot. Just as I was about ready to give up, unsatisfied with my photos I discovered this little alcove of trees just as the sun was starting to set and transformed the light into golden streams peeking through the trees.
This park is one of the best I have ever been to and it is so close to where I live. I think I will be able to ride Etienne there in the summer which I am very much looking forward to. This park seriously has everything – a pool, an awesome vintage style playground, tons of big trees, a stream, a hiking path (which I haven’t even ventured on yet) and the best part is there is usually next to no one there. Which works out when you are the crazy over there taking photos of herself in the trees.
I opted for the over-cardigan-belt with this outfit and am still undecided as to whether I like it or not. I was hoping this photo would come out more in focus but I thought the composition was cool enough to make it post worthy.
One of the only photos of the outfit in it’s entirety that worked out – sort of. Doesn’t it look like my legs are Photoshopped on or something? In reality I am just an awkward-stander.
I recently rediscovered this skirt in my closet and forgot what a great winter skirt it is. The fabric is super thick and because I am so short it covers most of my legs, I also enjoy the pattern as it reminds me of tapestry which seems somewhat out of place for clothing. It is from a shop in Europe called Promod that my cousins frequented when they lived in Italy. How I wish they shipped to the states!
I just can’t get enough of these shoes, I feel so super girly whenever I wear them and love the touch of teal they add to any outfit.
